This was (besides an emergency appointment for an abcess a couple of years ago) my first dental experience in 25 years. I am so pleased I chose Hampshire dentists. All contact over phone, email and face to face has been not only great customer service, but warm and friendly also. Technology has come on in dentistry 10 fold since I last went, and made the appointment much quicker than imagined. After a scan and xray, I am now just awaiting a treatment plan so I can start the steps to getting my teeth in better shape. Thank you to Rob, the lovely dental nurse and receptionist.

Had a great service from Hampshire Dentists today, from the moment I walked in I had a really friendly welcome from the reception staff. The dentist who I had, Marius, was professional and helpful showing me my teeth and explaining what he was saying to his assistant. I have always used NHS dentists, but as i have just moved to Southampton and wanted to avoid long waiting lists, i tried this private dentist and I wont be going back, I definitely recommend and its definitely worth the higher price. Thank you for putting my mind at ease in what can be an axious atmosphere!

Rob and the team (including all the admin ladies!) were so wonderful from start to finish. Treatment was quick and pain free and they made my partner feel so at ease. They were honest and open throughout. He went from being a nervous patient who struggled with a checkup to having the final stages of implants with no sedation. Really competitive and reasonable pricing, outstanding after care and just an all round brilliant service. Everyone felt like friends to us after just the first visit. We were always made to feel welcome, and are sad to see an end to the regular visits although will absolutely be using rob and the team for routine care going forward. Thank you all! Recently started using this dentist everything is amazing, from ringing up to book appointments with the ladies being so helpful, funny, charming and friendly, ( pay rise needed for the receptionist staff they that good). The dentists are very informative and precise in there details explaining what could happen to put you at ease. The best bit for me is there humour, you feel so relaxed and I feel I want to spend the day with them.

Update (20/3/23): Amending rating from 1 to 4. I was contacted on Saturday - which was unexpected but much appreciated - my concerns were acknowledged and have now been addressed beyond what I could have expected.The procedures themselves were never painful, to be clear. Furthermore, the staff have always been courteous in my experience. The problems were the filling was too high which caused other issues, there was no mention of cost or potential cost until I specifically asked, and I didn’t really know what I was getting done until I was on the chair, again, with no idea of cost, if any.Going forward, I see no problem staying on with the clinic - this appears to have been a one-off case of administrative miscommunication for the most part. I’ll also know from now on to thoroughly check my bite in multiple positions when getting fillings.It’s still upsetting that it happened in the first place, yes - which is why I’m amending to 4 instead of 5 stars. But I will give credit where it’s due - they were quick to respond and went above and beyond to put things right. I feel confident the feedback has been taken onboard and this incident will end as just that - an unfortunate but one-off incident.Original Review:I can’t fully close my jaw or chew now.I had to go in for a new filling because my previous one just fell out. I only found out the cost after it was done - I expected someone to tell me but it was never mentioned - I had to ask at the desk if there was anything to pay after it was done!And it turns out the filling that fell out was a ‘permanent’ one and this one is only an emergency ‘temporary’ (something I wasn’t told prior) - it cost £98. If I had known I was only getting a temporary filling and that said temporary filling would cost that much, I would’ve waited and paid a little more to get a proper one!Not only that, but now I can’t chew or close my jaw because - despite the dentist grinding it down multiple times - the filling is still too high. It felt like it might be so while I was lying on the chair but the moment I was out of the clinic and no longer talking, I could tell something was wrong. Then I tried having dinner and couldn’t chew. But they were already shut for the weekend. It turns out one’s bite isn’t the same when checked lying down as it is sitting/standing up!I don’t dare to think how much it’s going to cost to get it fixed nor when or if they will even be able to fix it. And I still have to get it removed and replaced with a permanent one, no doubt at full price. In the meantime I’ll have to live with it for God knows how long and the thought makes me want to cry. I was better off when I had no filling - the sensitivity was manageable, I could chew my food and rest my jaw properly and I wasn’t £98 out of pocket for something that will ultimately need to be replaced.I wish I could say I wasn’t deeply unhappy and disappointed but I am.And to add insult to injury, I didn’t get an email receipt despite specifically requesting one and being assured I would get one.

After my retainer broke down during my stay abroad in Southampton, I was quickly helped here. The next day I had an appointment and everything was repaired wonderfully. Everyone was super lovely. I have used this dental practice twice.The first time was when I broke my removable retainer. I phoned up upset and in a panick. The lady I spoke with on the phone was lovely and reassured me they would sort me out. She could tell how worried I was and fit me in for the following day.I saw Joanna who was excellent; she listened to everything I said and did a great job. She also filled in two chipped teeth that I wanted filling and did such a professional job! My retainer was ready to collect very quickly and I felt like a film star when I walked out with my full teeth!The second time I used this practice was when my permanent retainer needed fixing. It was fitted at my orthodontist. The dentist I saw did a fantastic job, and put the glue on in a way that covered the wire but so it didn't get in the way of my bite, as it did previously.I find all the staff very pleasant, friendly and professional and i wouldn't hesitate to reccommend them!Thank you.

I can't recommend Hampshire Dentists highly enough. Robin is a superstar. It's very reassuring to have such a capable dentist when you're sat in the chair. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. My daughter paid almost £1,000 for an agreed course of treatment, and was then told further payment (£550) and treatment was needed BEFORE the agreed course of treatment could begin. She was then then offered tooth whitening treatment free - which was already paid for in the £1,000 - to redress their negligence in not making clear that she would need other treatment done first, - which they then tried to add on to the final bill, meaning it wasn't free at all! When all trust and confidence in them was lost, and horrendous pain had been suffered due to using the free/not free? whitening treatment - which had to be abandoned - too soon after having fillings and still having an untreated cavity, they refused to give her a refund for outstanding and uncompleted treatment. Instead of doing the decent thing and giving her a refund, they instead referred her to a dental complaints service which it turns out only deals with treatment that has gone wrong, i.e you received a filling that subsequently fell out, which they were probably fully aware would be no help, so that was a waste of time. Also, they changed an appointment time without advising her, and tried saying they had emailed her about the change - which they absolutely hadn't - and then said they wouldn't charge her for missing the appointment "because it was nobody's fault"! (No apologies from them). If you're happy to pay £1,000 for 6 fillings, be misled about the order of treatment you need, have appointment times changed without your knowledge, be refused a refund for treatment you have not received or completed due to losing all faith in their service, be pummelled with requests to attend their practice after repeatedly advising them you would never visit their practice again, and pay them for treatment you won't receive, then this is the dentist for you! And if they wish to try and cover this up on here, I have a series of emails from them which I am happy to share which highlight a bulk of what I have said. Oh and they are also aware that my daughter has PTSD and that this has caused her extreme anxiety.In response to your response - your practice agreed to my acting on my daughter's behalf given that she has PTSD and avoids confrontational situations, so why are you still insisting that she should be the one reacting? There is no misunderstanding or complexity. Please don't play that card. Courtesy of your practice manager - "please accept my sincere apologies that your treatment plan, in terms of the order that treatments would need to be completed was not made clear to you .. we would always encourage any routine treatment to be completed prior to any cosmetic work like whitening as, if there are any cavities present in the mouth, this can cause the whitening process to be very sensitive and quite painful however I do believe that this was not explained to you clearly enough during your clinical assessment". This came AFTER she had paid you £955.00. You then wanted another £575.00. You created a catch 22 situation. You couldn't begin the treatment she had paid you for, until she agreed to pay you more! I have pages of emails from you. I can do this all day. You acted unethically and now owe her money which you refused to repay. I also have the email in which she is advised that the whitening treatment is free given your major error, and then later add it on to the final bill. Why don't you just accept accountability?

I have recently visited Hampshire dentists and couldn't be happier with the service in which I received. From the moment I walked into the reception I was made to feel totally welcome by the super friendly staff. I was booked in for a hygienist appointment as I had some stains i wanted to be removed. The whole service was so professional and I was taken through every step of the process so I was clear what was going on. I left with my teeth looking and feeling so much more clean!! Whilst at my appointment I asked about a filling that I wanted to be replaced from a silver one to a white one, I felt really confident to book in again so booked in for the following month to have the filling replaced. I am so glad I did!! The difference it has made to my smile and confidence is amazing!! Again the service and professionalism was second to none. I am so over the moon with both services provided that I have booked back in for more appointments. Highly recommended Hampshire dentists 🙂

I don't often write reviews, however as a dentist was up there with one of my top fears, I am so pleased that this is no longer the case with the help of the Hampshire Dentists team.Where do I start? From my initial enquiry to my next day call back dealt with by Tracey, I instantly felt at ease. The reception team were very friendly and accomodating and full of smiles.Whilst I sat waiting for my first dental visit in over 10 years, the smallest of touches like the ambience of music for distraction and the personal welcome from Beccy who I believe is the Practice Manager continued to ease my nerves.I was welcomed by Robin and his nurse and had a full dental health check. He was very gentle with his approach and it was actually a very comfortable experience. I received a full breakdown & explanation (which was super thorough) of my dental health, followed by a full treatment plan and clear costings.Robin ensured that I understood the clinical 'jargon'.To cut it short, I can't wait to return so I can smile again, with confidence!Thank you team.

I was very nervous before this appointment. My daughter doesn’t like new places, being touched, loud noises and we had to fix her 🦷And what an amazing surprise it was!She laid down on me on big blue chair. Dentist did check up and explained to her everything. We’ve already practiced at home opening her mouth so she was ok with this. Emma hold the hand mirror for her so she could see everything in it. I covered her ears with my hands. Dr Marius did his magic with talking and drilling. Than a little bit of air blow and filling was in! My daughter was fascinated by the whole visit! When we left she said ‘Mummy I have the best Dentist ever! Can I have another hole! Please’. Well, the answer was NO but surely many more check-ups to come!!!Thank you so much Hampshire Dentists team!!!

The people here are absolutely amazing. I needed an emergency appointment to resolve an infection in my lower jawline and they were able to fit me in the same day despite me coming from another county. The orthodontist was clear and sensitive about the pain I was in and they issued anti-biotics to help start the resolution to the problem.

Dr Robin has been my dentist for years now. He’s the best dentist I’ve been to. Always listens, and has a kind and gentle approach to dentistry. Been to some butchers in the past! I am currently having orthodontics and have just had an implant placed, which i was a bit nervous about having done, but Rob put me at ease. I can highly recommend Dr Robin and all of the team. It feels like coming to see friends rather than the dentist.

My son knocked part of his front tooth off and was a bit worried about having it stuck back on - Rob explained the process to him and what each instrument did before he got in the chair so he was so much more relaxed when it was being done. Rob chatted to him throughout and was very patient and kind. Would recommend to anyone!

I am thrilled with my stunning new smile courtesy of Dr Robin Hanna and his amazing team. Dr Hanna fitted 8 crowns and two veneers to correct the sub-standard upper-teeth veneer job done elsewhere. He first showed me the various smile options that I could go for and once I explained my preferences he meticulously stuck to my choices and did everything to create my dream smile. He took photos and scans to assist his lab team and did amazing pain-free prep job for my new teeth. Once I had the temporaries fitted, he patiently made the tiniest adjustments and tweaks needed to enhance my smile. Dr Hanna is a very patient, caring and dedicated professional with an unparalleled work ethic. He gave me his full attention and by clearly explaining every stage of the process as we went along, dispelled my fears of undertaking such a major cosmetic job, especially after my previous negative experience. He was truly supportive and dedicated to create the shape of the teeth and the smile-line that I asked for. I'm impressed with how natural and beautiful my teeth now look. The best dental experience I’ve ever had – Dr Hanna, his assistant Barbs and the reception team made me feel like I was their only patient! Thank you
